Hello! We are coming to you from Malmo in Sweden after spending a lovely week in Denmark. We are halfway through our third week although it actually feels like much longer! So much has happened since the 15th January and we have seen and done so much too.

We visited Aarhus and Odense and ended our time in Denmark in the lovely Copenhagen. We spent 4 nights on a campsite outside the city, travelling in via trains and walking. We did and saw a lot, we went to Rosenborg Castle, Stroget street, went on a canal cruise to see the Festival of Light with light based art installations, shopped, snacked, walked around various gardens and saw lots of statues and ate dinner in Nyhaven. It was quite a busy few days on top of doing some 'vanlife chores' - doing laundry, cleaning the van, changing the bedsheets and our least favourite activity... emptying the toilet. The best part of our trip was the canal boat tour at night - although it was freakin' cold, it was lovely to see all of the different art installations, the city illuminated and to spend time going to different parts of the city we may not have seen otherwise. It had been a really clear and sunny day so the stars and moon were also bright and added to the vibes
Our week in Denmark was quite a busy one and we have done a lot of city based activities. Copenhagen was beautiful and vibrant and as far as cities go, is definitely a great one to visit for culture, food, accessibility and fun. But at present we are ready to wind down with some natural scenery and being a little more remote. We are starting our trip through Sweden and Norway in Malmo and Gothenburg taking things at a slower pace and enjoying less hustle and bustle of the cities and spending some time on the outskirts. For example, our parkup in Malmo is on the harbour and we are surrounded by little boats and the sea; there is one other van parked here. Whilst we will still see what Malmo has to offer, it's nice to come back to a place of calm to reflect on how lucky we have been so far. We are also going to IKEA. We're in the IKEA Motherland... so we have to. It's the rules.
We're excited to see how the dogs will react now in more rural areas. They have been brilliant in the cities and busy towns; we have been on trains and buses and cable cars and they have weathered all kinds of new experiences (and all kinds of weather too). Bat absolutely loved the snow from Switzerland and all the dogs thrive when they are able to run around off-lead and enjoy the environment. Today we have played fetch with Pepe; we haven't been able to do this for a week or two in busy areas. Weena is just Weena, she's a very amenable little pug who is happy doing anything. We are mindful that she is the eldest of the trio by a few years and have noticed her getting tired easily where the other two are able to carry on.
